And the winner of Claim to Fame is...
The ABC competition series' third season ended with a bang Aug. 28 by revealing four jaw-dropping celebrity relatives we never saw coming.
During the first half of the two-part finale, contestant Shane was eliminated after fellow contender Mackenzie correctly guessed his iconic family member was Oscar-winning The Godfather star Marlon Brando.
"Marlon's my grandpa," Shane shared with the remaining hopefuls. "I grew up my whole life living with him. Spent some time with him, was very fortunate."
That left Mackenzie, Adam and Hud to battle it out one last time for the $100,000 prize. But after Adam won the physical challenge, he received the advantage of the final guess of the night—and he took a shot at exposing Mackenzie's celebrity relative, who turned out to be singer Trace Adkins.
As the country music legend shared in a video message upon her elimination, "Mackenzie Lynn Adkins is my daughter. Congratulations on getting as far as you did and I'm proud that you are my daughter."
And even though she didn't win, Mackenzie had no regrets about her game play.
"I was so close to winning, but honestly I'm so proud that I made it to the finale," she noted in a confessional. "I met so many amazing people that will be my friends for life."
Then, in a double-whammy, Adam opted to guess again in an attempt to win it all—and he did.
Adam correctly assumed Hud was the son of Grammy-winning singer John Mellencamp and the sister of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp.
Hud shared some special insight into his bond with the music legend.
"That's my best friend we just saw," he told the remaining cast. "I live a couple minutes away from him, I walk down to his house every day. We have breakfast every morning. He's helped me out so much in this life. He's taught me everything he knows."
As for who Adam's famous family member turned out to be? Michael Bolton.
"Uncle Michael is my mother's brother," the season three winner explained. "He is the hardest working man I've ever seen before in my life. He's taught me that if you chase your dreams and you work hard, you can do it and you can build a great life. He had a tumor removed from his brain recently and he's a strong ox."
The "When a Man Loves a Woman" singer even sent in a written note to celebrate his nephew's victory.
"Congratulations, Adam," read the message. "We knew you could do it. I'm sure you played the game like you live your life - with integrity, determination and humility. We are all so proud and can't wait to see where your next great adventure takes you."

During the season three premiere, Bianca was revealed to be the niece of longtime Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts.
Gracie Lou, whose real name is just Gracie, tried to convince her competitors she was from Tennessee, but was ultimately uncovered to be Jon Cryer's niece.
Jill was revealed to be the niece of Full House star John Stamos.
Miguel, whose real name is actually Raphael Curtis, is the newphew of Oscar-winning Halloween star Jamie Lee Curtis.
After previously hinting her relative was a "Brat Pack princess," it was revealed Naomi's aunt is '80s film icon Molly Ringwald.
Dedrick's real name turned out to be Sigmund Jackson, the same birth name as his father and Jackson 5 alum Jackie Jackson, older brother of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson.
After previously teasing his relative has a Grammy, Danny was revealed to be Marc Anthony's nephew during his week six elimination.
During the first half of the two-part season three finale, Mackenzie correctly guessed that Shane's relative was Oscar winner Marlon Brando. Shane called the late actor his grandfather.
Mackenzie came this close to winning, but Adam correctly guessed her relative was Trace Adkins, who is her father.
After Mackenzie's elimination, Adam chose to guess Hud's relative and he got it right! Hud is the son of singer John Mellencamp and the brother of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp.
Adam outlasted everyone and took home the $100,000 prize. It was also revealed he's the nephew of Michael Bolton.
